Many people consider Bodega Ridge on Galiano Island to be the finest ridge walk in British Columbia. There are exceptional views of the Gulf Islands, Vancouver Island and the distant Olympic Mountains.

The most scenic trail is the 3-km (1.5-hour) hike from the trailhead on Cottage way to the 122m level, which offers excellent viewpoints.

Continuation along the ridge allows for 5-km (3-hour) and 8-km (5-hour) extensions of the hike.

Access to Bodega Ridge (278 metres) is via Porlier Pass Drive, the only route to the northwest end of Galiano Island.

Trail information for Vancouver Island is provided in three superb Hiking Trails guides by the Vancouver Island Trails Information Society.
